Strong command over Problem Solving, Team Collaboration, System Design, TypeScript / Java / Python is essential to sustain defect escape rate, code review turnaround, and throughput scalability.
The Product Engineer position at Aptiv (Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area) carries an annual CTC range of ₹6L – ₹10L per annum (approx. ₹50,000 – ₹83,333 per month gross), benchmarked to experienced professional standards in Engineering & Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor peers and junior contributors within the Engineering & Manufacturing pod, fostering high accountability and continuous process improvement at Aptiv.
- Lead high-throughput data processing engines and customer-facing product modules for Aptiv's Engineering & Manufacturing function in Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area, ensuring full alignment with quarterly delivery roadmaps.
- Partner with DevOps platform teams, security engineers, and UX designers to streamline workflows, resolve cross-team bottlenecks, and accelerate cloud-native microservices and automated deployment pipelines.
- Establish repeatable SOPs and performance instrumentation for observability telemetry, latency optimizations, and zero-downtime releases across the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area (India) operating unit.
- Conduct periodic diagnostic audits on defect escape rate, code review turnaround, and throughput scalability and present data-backed optimization recommendations to Aptiv leadership.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in Engineering & Manufacturing or closely aligned roles comparable to Product Engineer.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills for collaborating with DevOps platform teams, security engineers, and UX designers in a Onsite setup in Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area.
- Proven track record of owning security-compliant service modules with strict error handling and failover and driving measurable gains in defect escape rate, code review turnaround, and throughput scalability.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical industry experience required for Experienced Professional roles.
- Strong working knowledge of APM & Distributed Tracing and Git, Docker & Kubernetes with the ability to synthesize complex operational data into clear decisions.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Prior exposure to scaling cloud-native microservices and automated deployment pipelines within Engineering & Manufacturing teams in Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area or comparable Indian enterprise hubs.
- Familiarity with automation workflows, APM & Distributed Tracing and Git, Docker & Kubernetes, and modern reporting standards.
- Experience mentoring cross-functional contributors or managing end-to-end delivery SLAs.
