In day-to-day execution, the Lead I - Software Engineering - Python Developer partners closely with product managers, principal architects, and QA automation pods to translate quarterly business priorities into observability telemetry, latency optimizations, and zero-downtime releases. You will leverage Automated CI/CD Pipelines and APM & Distributed Tracing alongside core competencies in Python, System Design, TypeScript / Java / Python, Microservices to maintain high operational rigor.
The Lead I - Software Engineering - Python Developer position at UST (Bengaluru) carries an annual CTC range of ₹11L – ₹19L per annum (approx. ₹91,667 – ₹1,58,333 per month gross), benchmarked to mid-senior level standards in All Categories (Multi-Domain Omni-Feed).
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor peers and junior contributors within the All Categories (Multi-Domain Omni-Feed) pod, fostering high accountability and continuous process improvement at UST.
- Lead cloud-native microservices and automated deployment pipelines for UST's All Categories (Multi-Domain Omni-Feed) function in Bengaluru, ensuring full alignment with quarterly delivery roadmaps.
- Partner with product managers, principal architects, and QA automation pods to streamline workflows, resolve cross-team bottlenecks, and accelerate low-latency production systems and modular frontend/backend architectures.
- Establish repeatable SOPs and performance instrumentation for technical architecture RFCs, schema designs, and API contract specifications across the Bengaluru (Karnataka) operating unit.
- Conduct periodic diagnostic audits on P95 API latency, deployment frequency, and production uptime (99.9%+) and present data-backed optimization recommendations to UST leadership.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical industry experience required for Mid-Senior Level roles.
- Strong working knowledge of Automated CI/CD Pipelines and APM & Distributed Tracing with the ability to synthesize complex operational data into clear decisions.
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in Python, System Design, TypeScript / Java / Python, Microservices within a fast-paced enterprise or high-growth environment.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills for collaborating with product managers, principal architects, and QA automation pods in a Onsite setup in Bengaluru.
- Proven track record of owning observability telemetry, latency optimizations, and zero-downtime releases and driving measurable gains in P95 API latency, deployment frequency, and production uptime (99.9%+).
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Prior exposure to scaling low-latency production systems and modular frontend/backend architectures within All Categories (Multi-Domain Omni-Feed) teams in Bengaluru or comparable Indian enterprise hubs.
- Familiarity with automation workflows, Automated CI/CD Pipelines and APM & Distributed Tracing, and modern reporting standards.
- Experience mentoring cross-functional contributors or managing end-to-end delivery SLAs.
