About the Role
As HDFC Life scales its Mumbai operations, the Software Engineering practice is onboarding an accomplished Inside Sales & Growth Lead. Based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, you will take direct ownership of low-latency production systems and modular frontend/backend architectures and drive measurable improvements across defect escape rate, code review turnaround, and throughput scalability.
Working at the intersection of Software Engineering and regional delivery in Mumbai, you will collaborate with DevOps platform teams, security engineers, and UX designers to architect technical architecture RFCs, schema designs, and API contract specifications and clean, production-hardened code with automated unit and integration test coverage. Strong command over System Design, Cloud Architecture, Problem Solving, CI/CD is essential to sustain defect escape rate, code review turnaround, and throughput scalability.
The Inside Sales & Growth Lead position at HDFC Life (Mumbai) carries an annual CTC range of ₹16L – ₹28L per annum (approx. ₹1,33,333 – ₹2,33,333 per month gross), benchmarked to mid-senior level standards in Software Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and scale mission-critical software solutions and distributed systems for HDFC Life.
- Collaborate with Product Management, DevOps, and QA teams to define scalable architecture patterns.
- Champion engineering excellence through thorough code reviews, unit testing, and continuous deployment.
- Drive performance tuning, latency optimization, and robust API design.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- 5–10 years of hands-on professional experience in relevant domain.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in engineering or relevant academic discipline.
- Proven track record in driving scalable results, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and exceptional communication skills.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Prior exposure to scaling distributed application services and resilient API gateways within Software Engineering teams in Mumbai or comparable Indian enterprise hubs.
- Familiarity with automation workflows, Modern Cloud Stacks (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Automated CI/CD Pipelines, and modern reporting standards.
- Experience mentoring cross-functional contributors or managing end-to-end delivery SLAs.

Annual CTC is structured between ₹16 Lakhs and ₹28 Lakhs per annum (approx. ₹1,33,333 – ₹2,33,333/month) based on interview performance, System Design & Cloud Architecture depth, and 5 to 10 years of progressive experience.
