In day-to-day execution, the Software Engineer - Core Platform partners closely with DevOps platform teams, security engineers, and UX designers to translate quarterly business priorities into security-compliant service modules with strict error handling and failover. You will leverage APM & Distributed Tracing and Git, Docker & Kubernetes alongside core competencies in System Design, Cloud Architecture, Problem Solving, CI/CD to maintain high operational rigor.
The Software Engineer - Core Platform position at Swiggy (gurugram) carries an annual CTC range of ₹9L – ₹15L per annum (approx. ₹75,000 – ₹1,25,000 per month gross), benchmarked to experienced professional standards in Software Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and scale mission-critical software solutions and distributed systems for Swiggy.
- Collaborate with Product Management, DevOps, and QA teams to define scalable architecture patterns.
- Champion engineering excellence through thorough code reviews, unit testing, and continuous deployment.
- Drive performance tuning, latency optimization, and robust API design.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- 3–6 years of hands-on professional experience in relevant domain.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in engineering or relevant academic discipline.
- Proven track record in driving scalable results, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and exceptional communication skills.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Prior exposure to scaling cloud-native microservices and automated deployment pipelines within Software Engineering teams in gurugram or comparable Indian enterprise hubs.
- Familiarity with automation workflows, APM & Distributed Tracing and Git, Docker & Kubernetes, and modern reporting standards.
- Experience mentoring cross-functional contributors or managing end-to-end delivery SLAs.

Annual CTC is structured between ₹9 Lakhs and ₹15 Lakhs per annum (approx. ₹75,000 – ₹1,25,000/month) based on interview performance, System Design & Cloud Architecture depth, and 3 to 6 years of progressive experience.
