Operating within a hybrid delivery model at the Bengaluru (Karnataka) hub, this experienced professional mandate centers on distributed application services and resilient API gateways while strengthening high-throughput data processing engines and customer-facing product modules.
In day-to-day execution, the Software Engineer - Core Platform partners closely with product managers, principal architects, and QA automation pods to translate quarterly business priorities into clean, production-hardened code with automated unit and integration test coverage. You will leverage Git, Docker & Kubernetes and Modern Cloud Stacks (AWS/Azure/GCP) alongside core competencies in System Design, Cloud Architecture, Problem Solving, CI/CD to maintain high operational rigor.
The Software Engineer - Core Platform position at Swiggy (Bengaluru) carries an annual CTC range of ₹9L – ₹15L per annum (approx. ₹75,000 – ₹1,25,000 per month gross), benchmarked to experienced professional standards in Software Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and scale mission-critical software solutions and distributed systems for Swiggy.
- Collaborate with Product Management, DevOps, and QA teams to define scalable architecture patterns.
- Champion engineering excellence through thorough code reviews, unit testing, and continuous deployment.
- Drive performance tuning, latency optimization, and robust API design.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- 3–6 years of hands-on professional experience in relevant domain.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in engineering or relevant academic discipline.
- Proven track record in driving scalable results, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and exceptional communication skills.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Prior exposure to scaling high-throughput data processing engines and customer-facing product modules within Software Engineering teams in Bengaluru or comparable Indian enterprise hubs.
- Familiarity with automation workflows, Git, Docker & Kubernetes and Modern Cloud Stacks (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern reporting standards.
- Experience mentoring cross-functional contributors or managing end-to-end delivery SLAs.
