Working at the intersection of Software Engineering and regional delivery in Mumbai, you will collaborate with C-suite executives, practice heads, and global enterprise clients to architect cross-regional delivery standards and center-of-excellence playbooks and senior leadership reviews, board-ready briefings, and escalation pathways. Strong command over System Design, Cloud Architecture, Problem Solving, CI/CD is essential to sustain unit profitability, SLA adherence, and net revenue retention.
The Principal Systems Architect position at Microsoft India (Mumbai) carries an annual CTC range of ₹16L – ₹28L per annum (approx. ₹1,33,333 – ₹2,33,333 per month gross), benchmarked to mid-senior level standards in Software Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and scale mission-critical software solutions and distributed systems for Microsoft India.
- Collaborate with Product Management, DevOps, and QA teams to define scalable architecture patterns.
- Champion engineering excellence through thorough code reviews, unit testing, and continuous deployment.
- Drive performance tuning, latency optimization, and robust API design.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- 5–10 years of hands-on professional experience in relevant domain.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in engineering or relevant academic discipline.
- Proven track record in driving scalable results, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and exceptional communication skills.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Prior exposure to scaling enterprise transformation initiatives and delivery governance within Software Engineering teams in Mumbai or comparable Indian enterprise hubs.
- Familiarity with automation workflows, OKR Governance Frameworks and Financial Modeling & Forecasting, and modern reporting standards.
- Experience mentoring cross-functional contributors or managing end-to-end delivery SLAs.
