About the Role

In day-to-day execution, the Associate Director - AI Machine Learning partners closely with regional delivery directors, finance partners, and product sponsors to translate quarterly business priorities into talent succession pipelines and high-performing leadership pods. You will leverage Financial Modeling & Forecasting and Executive BI Dashboards alongside core competencies in Machine Learning, Executive Leadership, P&L Ownership, Strategic Roadmap to maintain high operational rigor.
The Associate Director - AI Machine Learning position at Razorpay (Bengaluru) carries an annual CTC range of ₹28L – ₹48L per annum (approx. ₹2,33,333 – ₹4,00,000 per month gross), benchmarked to leadership / senior management standards in Software Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and scale mission-critical software solutions and distributed systems for Razorpay.
- Collaborate with Product Management, DevOps, and QA teams to define scalable architecture patterns.
- Champion engineering excellence through thorough code reviews, unit testing, and continuous deployment.
- Drive performance tuning, latency optimization, and robust API design.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- 10–18 years of hands-on professional experience in relevant domain.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in engineering or relevant academic discipline.
- Proven track record in driving scalable results, team leadership, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and exceptional communication skills.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Prior exposure to scaling high-impact client and executive stakeholder charters within Software Engineering teams in Bengaluru or comparable Indian enterprise hubs.
- Familiarity with automation workflows, Financial Modeling & Forecasting and Executive BI Dashboards, and modern reporting standards.
- Experience mentoring cross-functional contributors or managing end-to-end delivery SLAs.
