About the Role
Wesco is expanding its Banking & Financial Services charter in Pune Division, Maharashtra with the addition of a Accountant. Operating within a on-site operational center in Pune Division, Maharashtra, this experienced professional mandate centers on monthly book closure, statutory compliance, and audit readiness while strengthening high-accuracy invoicing, vendor reconciliations, and tax filings.
In day-to-day execution, the Accountant partners closely with external statutory auditors, tax consultants, and banking partners to translate quarterly business priorities into reconciled balance sheets, P&L statements, and monthly MIS packs. You will leverage SAP / Oracle / Tally Prime ERP and Advanced Excel Financial Modeling alongside core competencies in Problem Solving, Team Collaboration, Financial Reporting, Statutory & Tax Compliance (GST/TDS) to maintain high operational rigor.
The Accountant position at Wesco (Pune Division) carries an annual CTC range of ₹6L – ₹9L per annum (approx. ₹50,000 – ₹75,000 per month gross), benchmarked to experienced professional standards in Banking & Financial Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish repeatable SOPs and performance instrumentation for working capital models and cost-optimization recommendations across the Pune Division (Maharashtra) operating unit.
- Conduct periodic diagnostic audits on month-end close cycle time, reconciliation accuracy, and zero audit non-conformities and present data-backed optimization recommendations to Wesco leadership.
- Design, review, and publish reconciled balance sheets, P&L statements, and monthly MIS packs while maintaining strict governance across month-end close cycle time, reconciliation accuracy, and zero audit non-conformities.
- Apply hands-on expertise in Problem Solving, Team Collaboration, Financial Reporting and SAP / Oracle / Tally Prime ERP and Advanced Excel Financial Modeling to elevate output quality and execution speed.
- Mentor peers and junior contributors within the Banking & Financial Services pod, fostering high accountability and continuous process improvement at Wesco.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical industry experience required for Experienced Professional roles.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP / Oracle / Tally Prime ERP and Advanced Excel Financial Modeling with the ability to synthesize complex operational data into clear decisions.
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in Problem Solving, Team Collaboration, Financial Reporting, Statutory & Tax Compliance (GST/TDS) within a fast-paced enterprise or high-growth environment.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills for collaborating with external statutory auditors, tax consultants, and banking partners in a Onsite setup in Pune Division.
- Proven track record of owning reconciled balance sheets, P&L statements, and monthly MIS packs and driving measurable gains in month-end close cycle time, reconciliation accuracy, and zero audit non-conformities.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Prior exposure to scaling high-accuracy invoicing, vendor reconciliations, and tax filings within Banking & Financial Services teams in Pune Division or comparable Indian enterprise hubs.
- Familiarity with automation workflows, SAP / Oracle / Tally Prime ERP and Advanced Excel Financial Modeling, and modern reporting standards.
- Experience mentoring cross-functional contributors or managing end-to-end delivery SLAs.
